To promote trade and investment between South Africa and the UAE by fostering direct contacts between business people from both nations.
To serve as a forum for the exchange of information and views between business executives from South Africa and the UAE on issues of mutual importance.
To provide information and advice to companies of both countries in matters of trade and investment in either country.
To develop special interest groups covering various industries, such as construction, banking, oil and gas etc.
To provide practical and focused assistance to business.
Develop close working ties with the Trade Section of the South African Embassy.
Distribution of updates on the current business situation, major trade shows and UAE-related events and business.
Identification and referral of business opportunities to its members.
To provide an opportunity for members of the South African business community in the UAE to network with their peers.
Encourage networking between South African individuals and companies based in the UAE and across the region.
Foster and encourage close relationships between the council and its members and UAE Nationals, government and corporate institutions.
Assistance in the promotion of trade and investment opportunities.

To encourage social and cultural exchanges between South Africa and the UAE.
Promote the vision of the 'Rainbow Nation', whereby all people are equal, whatever their colour, creed or race.
Promote the unique culture of South Africa, which includes tolerance of all.
Communicate these messages at any and every opportunity.

Develop a programme of working luncheons, dinner meetings and informal networking events.
Organise presentations by guest speakers to promote South Africa.
Implement networking events, such as the hosting and organising of in-coming South African delegations.
Plan special breakfasts, luncheons or sessions featuring prominent guest speakers.

Enlarge council membership.
Increase membership satisfaction, retention and revenue.
Establish a membership directory, available to all members and widely circulated across the UAE.
Promote member companies' corporate image, products and services.
Publish and circulate SABCo's newsletter and press releases.
Increase SABCo's visibility and accessibility.
