Cheese, Wine & Chocolate
SABCo and the American Business Council hosted a networking event at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dubai on 25 October 2011. We had a great turn out with 110 attendees.A variety of wines were sponsored by MMI, Spinney’s provided an array of cheeses to compliment the wines, Royal Cusine sponsored gourmet breads, and the Crowne Plaza kindly sponsored canapés for the event. view album »

Golf with Joost van der Westhuizen
SABCo hosted a golf day at Emirates Golf Club to raise money for the Motor Neuron Foundation. South African rugby legend, Joost van der Westhuizen attended and took part in the event. view album »

Jazz Evening with Joost
Scott Gibbs, Jeremy Guscott and Colin Charvis will be supporting a fund raising Jazz evening event , to he hosted by Joost. All funds raised will go to the Joost van der Westhuizen Morot Neuron Disease Fund to help with the research and finding a cure. The event was held a West 14 on the Palm and was a successful and enjoyable evening. view album »

SABCO Social Evening
The summer heat put pay to the SABCO Braai Evening in June. In it's place, the South African Business Council hosted a Social Evening at I2 Lounge, Metropolitan Hotel, sponsored by Jameson Irish Whiskey. view album »

South African Family Day Celebrations - 1 May 2009
The South African Family Day Celebrations 2009, organised by SABCO, took place on the polo fields at Desert Palm Dubai on 1 May 2009. Hosted by SA's Chief Prankster "WACKHEAD" Simpson and Simon B from Radio 104.1FM, the fun-filled event began at 14:00. Highlights included the annual Potjiekos and Talent Contests, the Grand Draw to win the Mitsubishi Lancer GL and the SAA Air tickets back to South Africa. The South African Women's Association (SAWA) hosted their first highly successful Family Day Arts & Crafts Market (koeksisters sold out by 17:30!). There were loads of activities for kids and adults including the special appearance of comedian, Mark Banks. Business Breakfast
The South African Business Council set sail on The Bateaux Dubai with guest speaker Ambassador Y Abba Omar on Monday, 18th May 2009. The Ambassador presented "South Africa Scenarios 2008 - 2025" - a reveiw of the 2008 South African Presidency release in which they considered three plausible scenarios from 2008 to 2025. This was after months of research, interviews and workshops. It looks at ways in which the global economy would be changing as well as political and economic dynamics within South Africa. view album »

Due to a bout of unexpected bad weather the Braai Evening in March was moved out by a week to Monday, 6th April. Held at the Dubai Offshore Sailing Club, in conjunction with The Grand Grill, SABCO had the pleasure of announcing the annual Standard Bank sponsorship. view album »
