Dear South Africans
This email serves to inform you of the upcoming South African
Business Council AGM and the election of Executive Officers that
will take place on that date
The AGM will take place on Sunday 29th January
2012, (An official notice of this will be sent out by the
General Secretary in due Course)
The reason for this email is to ask all eligible and interested
parties to register with the General secretary via admin@sabco-uae.com
on or before the close of business (17h00 UAE time) on Wednesday
28th December 2011. Please can we ask that you provide an
introduction to yourself of no more than 150 words which will be
posted on the SABCO website to help members acquaint themselves
with you.
In order to be eligible to stand for the committee you
must
- Hold an SA passport
- Hold UAE Residency
- Can be resident anywhere in the UAE
- Be a paid up member of SABCO
The new committee will comprise of 8 persons, 7 to be elected on
the night and the 8th, the immediate past president, as per the
constitution. (Constitution is available on the SABCO web site www.sabco-uae.com)
Representatives from the Embassy will act as electoral officers
on the night and each paid up member will be asked to vote for 7
persons. The top seven will then form the new committee. They in
turn will then fill the executive positions as per the
constitution.

The new, united SABCO has now been delivered and we are looking
